- Joo is turning 50 this Xmas.
- She’s a single mother and a full-time worker.
- Joo is from southern Thailand and studied master’s degree of technology management from UNSW in 1997. She used to work for a hotel and a Law Firm in Thailand before moving back to Sydney with her daughter.
- She is a cat lover.
- Joo loves music, always wanted to be a singer, but never took a singing class.
- Joo always enjoys Gin and Tonic, especially Hendricks, it never gets her a hang-over
- She’s currently dating a romantic kiwi gentleman, who is kind, humble and transparent. Joo is feeling good about his qualities and she knows he feels the same.
- Joo’s dream vacation is going to Spain and New Zealand, but in reality she is going somewhere else this month. After all it’s not about the destination it’s about the company.
- Joo is happy with herself, her daughter, her partner, her best friend and her family. She does believe if we surround ourselves with heathy relationship, our life is healthy - physically, mentally and emotionally too.
- Joo is proud to be 50. She’s trying to be more humble and of course “wisdom” will come along with this, it’s the age of the sage.

- 49 years old.
- Tina is born and raised in Sydney. She loves the city. She’s a city girl.
- Tina is a mother of five young adults - 3 sons and 2 daughters.. She had them pretty quickly from the age of 20 to 28.
- She is the oldest in her family and got four younger brothers. So Tina is used to being around a lot of boys and men.
- But at the same time, Tina was always the smallest one.
- Tina is a professional in a male-dominated electrical industry. She’s a purchasing officer in a wholesaler.
- When Tina and her family face hard times, they all come together, they fight together, and they laugh together through it.
- Tina is facing Cervical cancer at the moment but keeping on top of it so far. As it has already been in her family history, Tina started doing the screening early and regularly.
- The biggest challenge at this age – “It's the physical changes.”
- Positive change with age – “All the wisdom I have now, the knowledge that you have, and the confidence.”

10 Facts About Bernadette

- 53 years old.
- Bernadette married her childhood sweetheart when she was 20. So she’s been married for 34 years.
- And she has three beautiful children who are all grown up to be very successful, but really kind and fabulous people.
- Bernadette’s youngest daughter lives in the US at the moment, and one of her sons studied in New York, and she has a sister overseas. So she travelled a bit.
- When Bernadette and her husband were young, they were saving up money to put carpet in their house. One day they had to choose to either go to Paris for two weeks or carpet the house. They went to Paris. And she will remember it forever.
- Bernadette has worked her entire life as a nurse. She is currently the Chief Nurse and clinical services director for Ramsey healthcare Australia. So, she oversees 18,000 nurses and 73 hospitals.
- Bernadette really values professional development and education. And while she worked full time, she also did her doctorate and became a Doctor of Nursing PhD. She finished it in the early 2000s and vowed she would never study again. But Bernadette has actually just finished a Master of Health and medical law.
- At the start of the pandemic Bernadette has taken up running for the first time in her life. She did it for her mental health and well-being just to feel she was doing something out of lockdown away from the computer and the phone.
- Biggest challenge at this age – “My eyesight. And I find the recovery time if you become unwell takes a lot longer”
- Positive change with age – “I think you care a whole lot less about what people think of you.”

10 Facts About Chanelle
(at the time of the project)
- 47 years old.
- Chanelle is married and has two little kids who are six and nine, a daughter and a son. The kids have changed her significantly. Chanelle said, she would never have children. And then she had her daughter when she was 38. And was the greatest thing she ever did.
- Chanelle became disabled five years ago. She had a big motorbike accident in Darwin and lost the use of her dominant arm. Since then Chanelle has had nine surgeries to try and get it working a little bit. So her greatest accomplishment other than the children is embracing being disabled.
- Chanelle and her family live on a farm one hour away from Sydney.
- Chanelle is passionate about riding the horses. She has the horses and an arena that she trains on. She’s been obsessed with riding since she was little. Riding horses helped Chanelle to recover after the accident.
- She works for a big hospital company, and she’s the head of risk. Chanelle has been there 18 years, since she was 29.
- Chanelle is writing a book about resilience. The name might change, but now it's called Broken umbrella.
- Chanelle got her law degree and became a lawyer at 30. And then she did a Master of Laws.
- Biggest challenge at this age – “I think a challenge is not comparing yourself how you look to people who are young.”
- Positive change with age – “I find now I'm much more comfortable with my body than I ever was.”

- 55 years old.
- Michelle came to Australia when she was 16 years old from New Zealand.
- Michelle has read a lot of books. She read the entire children's section of the library by the time she was 12.
- The biggest influence in Michelle’s life was her grandmother. She's a very strong person. And she was the matriarch and pulled the entire family together.
- Michelle has a 21-year-old daughter. And she's a beautiful person, very kind and very loving. She looks after the underdog in life.
- Michelle works in media and computers, which she loves. And she’s been doing that for a few years now.
- She has recently taken up painting. In the beginning, Michelle started doing it pretty much as a healing process. Now she is discovering colours and body shapes.
- Having a daughter, to Michelle, was a big accomplishment because she never wanted children. And she had one and she discovered what an amazing, precious gift it was.
- The biggest challenge at this age – “The body change as you get older.”
- Positive change with age – “I think the most positive one is learning to forgive myself.”

- 49 years old.
- Samantha’s heritage is Portuguese and Indian but born and raised in Australia.
- She is a mom of two girls in their 20s. Natasha is 24 and Jasmine is 21.
- Samantha is also a fiancé and soon to be married in Paradise Island in the Bahamas. It's her third marriage.
- Samantha living life by design now as a solopreneur, and a bit of a boss woman. She started her business last year in September, People Mojo, it's an HR consultancy business.
- She is a netballer have been a netballer all of her life. Samantha started when she was five and played professional netball for the state and for the region. Now Samantha plays together with her youngest daughter on the same end of the court as shooters. They've got the height.
- Samantha always been tall. She’s just over six foot. She was always in the back of the class photos at school, and always with the boys.
- Samantha loves to dance. She used to dance, jazz, ballet and hip-hop dance right up until her 30s.
- Samantha loves fashion and her favourite brand is Chanel. She likes getting dressed up. She enjoys it. She’s always running out of cupboard room. Samantha did some modelling when she was younger.
- Samantha is a domestic goddess; she actually really likes cleaning. She also loves to cook and to entertain. Samantha cooks every night. And she really, really enjoys it and cooks all sorts of cuisines - Anglo Indian food, Italian and Asian.

- 49 years old.
- Trin was born and grew up in Australia, in Wagga Wagga country.
- Trin lives by herself by the beach, but 100 metres away from the beach
- Trin’s partner lives in Melbourne. They've been together for two years. They met at the very beginning of COVID in a Tantra workshop, and they have a successful long distance relationship.
- Trin has been married for 15 years before that. And she left her husband in 2018. So she dived into a new relationship really wishing to be different. Trin really wanted to understand love and relationships this time.
- Trin is a psychological therapist and she’s got her private practice. She specialises in trauma and relationships. it's somatic based therapy.
- Trin finished her counselling degree in 2009 and started working in drug and alcohol as a drug and alcohol counsellor. Her first job was in a drug and alcohol rehab facility with women.
- Trin has been practising meditation for 25 years, and it's through one particular teacher, and she hasn't changed it. And through that, meditation school, Trin also learned a meditation based therapy.
- Trin’s greatest accomplishment – “I'd definitely just say it was my 15-year journey of getting finally into private practice. That was my goal, right from 2006.”
- Positive change with age – “I feel so much more. I feel really comfortable in myself.”

- 50 years old.
- Angela is a single mum of two beautiful teenagers – her daughter Ellen is 18 and her son Vuk is 16 years old.
- She has just come out of marriage and back to where she was in her 20s. Now Angela has all the opportunities in the world opened up again for her. So, she is doing as many things as she possibly could after 20 years of having quite a limited outlook on life.
- Angela was born in Margate in the UK. But her family lives in Ramsgate. And she actually lives in Ramsgate here in Sydney. So her family is kind of like that.
- Angela left the UK in 1999 and she moved to the Czech Republic and was a teacher over there for two years. She came to Australia first in 2002 and then she moved back to Europe in 2006 and lived in Belgrade in Serbia for eight years before coming back here to Australia.
- When Angela was younger, she lived in Belgium and France for a bit.
- Angela is a teacher of students who have severe intellectual and physical disabilities. And she absolutely loves her job. It inspires her every day, these amazing individuals who are always so resilient and strong.
- Angela’s greatest accomplishments are her kids and bringing her independency back by leaving a marriage that was making her very, very unhappy.
- The biggest challenge at this age is coming out of a 20-year marriage and having nothing from it.
- Positive change with age – “I think the general feeling of I'm happy with who I am. And, yeah, you don't care so much what other people think anymore.”

Christine is a strong advocate for legalising cannabis, and she talks about different uses and benefits of this natural medicine.

- 50 years old.
- Christine is a registered nurse. She’s been a nurse for almost 20 years and works in the area of mental health and drug and alcohol in Sydney.
- Born in Brisbane, she moved to Sydney four months ago to make a fresh start.
- She sees herself going back to Western Australia (where her son was born) in 2 years after staying in Sydney for some time.
- Christine is a mother of two sons. One is an adult. He's 27. And the other one is a teenager, he is 16.
- Christine lives near the beach and loves swimming in the ocean pools.
- Christine likes to practice yoga. She’s been practicing yoga since she was 27.
- Christine enjoys cooking and learning along the way. Her favorite cuisine is Italian, and she has a tradition to take her son to an Italian restaurant for his birthday.
- Christine started her Law degree when she was 44 because she is interested in helping people who get discriminated against.
- Christine is a very strong advocate for legalizing cannabis. Because she believes that there are too many people who need to have plant medicine and they can't access it.

- 49 years old.
- Vanessa has lived in three countries. She was born in Malaysia and moved to Australia as a child. So, she was raised in Australia.
- Then she moved to England, where she met her husband, got married, worked in England, and had her first child in England. She lived there for 6 years.
- Vanessa has three amazing children who are 16 and under.
- Vanessa loves good food. She loves cooking as well as going out to a nice meal or having someone else cooking for her. Her favourite cuisine is Asian fusion. Vanessa loves Vietnamese and Thai food but with an Australian fusion touch. But she does love all food in general and seafood.
- She also loves the outdoors, nature, bushwalking, and adventure. Vanessa has a thing for waterfalls.
- Vanessa is a territory manager for the biopharma company, and she loves learning new things, to broaden her knowledge and study. Recently she completed studying life coaching, mentoring, hypnotherapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming, emotional intelligence, and personality.
- Vanessa always wanted to be a little bit taller. She is five foot three and always wished she was a little bit taller. Just that when she buys clothing, she does not have to always get it altered.
- Also, this year marks four years since she was diagnosed with breast cancer. So that was a really big defining moment for her.
- The biggest challenge at this age – “My biggest challenge is my health. So I have to maintain my health.”
- Positive change with age – “I think I'm the biggest positive change is just learning to be more content right here right now.”
